Why should I attend IAC 2025 in Sydney, Australia?
  • Discover why Australia is the place for space – like no other.
  • Australia has hosted the IAC twice in its history – initially with the 49th IAC 1998 in Melbourne, and secondly with the 68th IAC 2017 in Adelaide. Hosting a third time with the 76th IAC 2025 in Sydney is a generational opportunity to showcase to all Australians – and the world – the rapid progress of Australia’s space industry and how space-enabled services are fundamental to Australia’s way of life.
  • IAC 2025 will highlight our Indigenous astronomy and involvement of Indigenous community in terms of engagement, deployment and use of space technologies.
  • IAC 2025 will advance space in the Indo-Pacific by showcasing the entire region and its wide variety of space-based opportunities.
  • IAC 2025 will broaden the influence and relevance of space to adjacent industries (including emergency services, health, utilities, telecommunications, resources, manufacturing, finance, construction, agriculture, and Smart Cities) and to the public, delving into why space is critical for both businesses and our everyday lives.
  • Explore business opportunities and partnerships at IAC 2025.
  • Experience exciting new technical visits (and associated tourism opportunities) all across Australia.
  • Australia is a land like no other. Bring your family, friends, and/or colleagues and tick off your bucket list!
  • Sydney is set on one of the world’s most beautiful harbours complete with the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, and a wealth of beaches, museums, galleries, nature, and wildlife.
  • October in Sydney is generally a very pleasant 23 degrees Celsius (73.4 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • Sydney enjoys a reputation as one of the safest cities and is the fourth most liveable city in the world (Economist Intelligence Unit, The Global Liveability Index 2023).
  • IAC 2025 will be fun! Watch this space to find out more about some exciting activities.
