DLR GfR manages Europe’s largest spacecraft constellation, the GNSS Galileo, from the Galileo Control Center (GCC-D) in Germany, ensuring 99.99% service availability. Our dedicated team of over 300 experts provides 24/7 operations and maintenance for Galileo satellites and their ground infrastructure. From GCC-D, we oversee global operations, mission planning, flight dynamics, and configuration monitoring.
Our extensive services cover all phases of space operations, from mission planning and crew training to routine satellite management, with 30 satellites currently under our care. We ensure operational integrity through comprehensive maintenance of both satellites and ground segments. Additionally, our GNSS resilience project protects GNSS from jamming and spoofing, guaranteeing the safety and reliability of navigation systems.
