As the space community gathers in Milan, Italy for the last official day of IAC 2024, it is difficult to capture just one unforgettable moment. A jampacked program from early morning to late into the evening there has truly been something for everyone.

Today IAC welcomes the public, we say thank you to the Milan locals for hosting the international space community over the last week. An opportunity to educate, inspire and motivate tomorrow’s space leaders. Showcase and demonstrate the wider community on amazing technologies and opportunities our space industry offers. Who knows who might be at IAC 2024 today?

We thank the Milan community for hosting thousands from across the globe, sharing the local delights of panini, pizza and a sneaky gelato. Showcasing the amazing sights on bikes, capturing with our own eyes one of the world’s most famous artworks, by Leonardo da Vinci. For the lucky few who did find time, a few hours of shopping in the fashion capital of the world. The opportunities in Milan have been truly endless.
We reflect on the hundreds of people we have all meet, will remain connected with until we all meet again in Sydney.
The Australian space community attended on mass to IAC 2024, to experience what we all look forward to at IAC 2025, we invite the global community to once again enjoy an unfamiliar city with our very own iconic locations, like the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge but what will be familiar regardless of the location is the network of the space community that cherish these once a year gatherings, catch up on the year past and showcase the advancements we have all achieved.

For the public today it would be hard to beat the opportunity to meet an experienced astronaut and enjoy all the exhibition has to offer, for the eco system we connect for the final time today before departing for our travels home, however before the day ends, the IAC baton changes hands to Sydney Australia the next hosting city at the closing ceremony. Australia looks forward to welcoming the whole community to IAC 2025 Sydney.
We thank Investment NSW, for supporting and securing the opportunity to host IAC 2025. An opportunity not missed by the Australian Space Agency to rally the community and support local industry to deliver an amazing IAC 2025, with a definite Australian flare and showcase just how important Australia and the wider Indo pacific region is for space globally. As host of 2025, SIAA and organiser IAF will be working with the local community to deliver a spectacular IAC 2025, one for the memory books.
Enjoy the last day of IAC 2024, Safe travels and we look forward to seeing you all in Sydney!
